MAF’s Vision
To see isolated people changed by the love of Christ
MAF’s Mission
Serving together to bring help, hope and healing through aviation
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a global movement. Our Christian ministry started in 1945 when a group of Second World War pilots were brought together with a shared vision to use their aviation skills for help rather than harm while spreading the transformational love of Jesus Christ.
Now for countless communities across the world, the sight and sound of one of our small aeroplanes arriving symbolises hope. It may be bringing with it:
Our fleet of aeroplanes transforms days on foot across inhospitable terrain, or treacherous hours on dirt roads or by boat, into minutes in the air. Doctors, teachers, relief and development workers, church and mission teams, government officials, even local produce growers benefit from MAF flying into remote locations.
We work closely with a phenomenal network of partners to ensure practical, medical and spiritual care is delivered in places with the deepest need in the most remote and inaccessible communities on the planet.
For more than 75 years, MAF has served and will continue to serve those living in poverty and isolation.
